Hi there! I’m Marie.
I am a person-centered, relational therapist, and I believe therapy can be a foundational tool for self-esteem building, personal exploration, creative problem solving, collaborative course correction, and lots more. I am an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist and hope to create a therapeutic environment where all clients feel safe and empowered.
I work across the lifespan with a diverse array of client presentations, and I have clinical interest in working with ADHD, Anxiety, life transitions, identity exploration, and dysfunctional interpersonal dynamics.
I graduated with my Master of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2026. I began my social work career at Pathfinders Youth Shelter, working directly with teens at the residential facility. This experience informed the lens through which I view my role as a therapist.
Clients bring to session their story; beliefs that may no longer serve them, past traumatic memories affecting their daily functioning, and unconscious patterns that may be inhibiting growth. These factors, like our clients' unique life experience, history and environment in which they grew up all have a profound impact on their day-to-day functioning and life satisfaction in the present. My goal is that these stories unfold alongside the trust built between the client and therapist, as the best work can be done within a trusting, supportive therapeutic relationship. I believe that the therapist is not the expert in the room, but we are the mirror. I hope to offer a curious, compassionate and informed perspective focused on illuminating parts of an individual that have yet to be noticed and nurtured. I aim to implement creative, collaborative, and trauma-informed treatment interventions that can support clients to enact positive, lasting change. I center my practice around an eclectic array of therapeutic approaches including:
Psychodynamic Theory, Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Relational Therapy.
If you have interest in creative approaches to therapy like music and art therapy, I have the tools and interest in exploring those modalities with clients as well.
I grew up in the area and have lived in Milwaukee for most of my life. Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy making music, swimming and spending time by the greatest of lakes and laughing with my friends and family.
